Launch Site

The Liberty National Golf Course events section was designed by our in house creative team Ben Daly and Steve Palumbo. The challenge was not just doing a design integration, switching gears and developing the site in PHP or even to integrate Amazon Web Services(AWS SimpleDB) but to do it all in two and a half weeks. I was able to use jQuery to help animate the design portion and support the functionality. At launch time I found out that because the site could not support the HTTPS protocol all of the work I had done to setup the AWS had to be scrapped. This is typical in rapid development. I ended up writing all of the data stored from the signup forms to xml files and rebuilding the viewing console.
